lyrics
Well it should be easy just to walk away from you, leave you cold as you came. Find another city, find
another bed, maybe someone who looks like you. I don’t know why I sing. I don’t know why I keep falling out of cars. Is it the life I
lead or the songs that break your heart? Let me tell you what it’s like to wear your heart on your shoes, waiting for the next foot to
fall. And every time you dance, you take a chance, you won’t survive at all. I don’t know why I sing. I don’t know why I keep falling
out of cars. Is it the life I lead or the songs that break your heart?

Nice to see that some Christian musicians from my youth haven't lost their minds. Nice track that sounds fresh but isn't a dramatic departure from past Joy Electric. bendonahower

The summer of ‘97 I was about to leave where I had lived my entire life and go 14+ hours away. That summer I found California. I bought it because Eric and Wayne were a part of Starflyer’s Americana album. From the first, “Thank you! Lassie Foundation” introduction I was in. This was the soundtrack to that time of my life. Loud music with soft singing w lyrics that were both hopeful+ realistic. It is still one of my fav albums ever and I love that I can have it on vinyl. Thanks guys. Seth Davison

Jason's three latest projects have been filled with inspiration and career highlights; I think Life In Bed might be one of his best tracks. Vanity as a whole is on a constant high level quality wise, and I think it really shows an artist's greatness when they are able to create art like this so deep into their journey. This one's for drifting into beautiful nothingness. Spiderwebbed cathedrals of oh-so-pretty dream pop à la Slowdive with maybe a touch of True Widow's depressive crunch. Lars Gotrich
