This Life
02:52
|

In another place and time where the heart catches up with the mind, and the world’s burning down on the evening news,
we all know its monkeys and spoons. Pastimes of this life, the soundtrack of your suicide are the heartbeats that echo in empty
rooms, we all know its monkeys and spoons.

A Game Of Damage
03:48
|
|||
Nights when you’re afraid, afraid that you might fall, and you’re
calling out her name just to hear somebody talk, you danced around the flame and watched it all burn down, the sole companion of
smoke is all that you are now. When you’re alone. Nights when you’re afraid, afraid that you might sing a broken lullaby just to try to
get some sleep, when you’ve reached the point of giving up and felt the crimes of poetry and pain, was it all a game? Words cut like
daggers, leave scars across your heart, will never do the damage that a real blade does. When you’re alone.

Send The Ships
06:48
|

Move on fields of green, move on hopes and dreams, send the ships back from where they came. Move on love affairs, move on
lucky stars that burn your wishes in their flames. Move on cheers of health, move on past yourself, ‘cause you’re not that pretty
anyway. Move on astronauts, move on happy thoughts that never make you happy. Move on ground control, move on heart and
soul, send all the ships back from where they came. Move on wind-up toys, move on simple joys, they’re never simple as they
seem. Move on astronauts, time to give it up and just start living.

It seems I’ve reached
the point of less days ahead than behind. Although these words seem strange, they will remain. So you may find me when I’m lost.
I’ve never been a man of worldly things, no legacy. A few poems, golden lines and songs to sing. So you may find me when I’m lost.

Falling Out Of Cars
04:18
|

Well it should be easy just to walk away from you, leave you cold as you came. Find another city, find
another bed, maybe someone who looks like you. I don’t know why I sing. I don’t know why I keep falling out of cars. Is it the life I
lead or the songs that break your heart? Let me tell you what it’s like to wear your heart on your shoes, waiting for the next foot to
fall. And every time you dance, you take a chance, you won’t survive at all. I don’t know why I sing. I don’t know why I keep falling
out of cars. Is it the life I lead or the songs that break your heart?

The January Dancer
04:56
|
|||
I stayed longer than I had planned. You
stayed a while longer than me, and danced like trees that reflect on the water. There was no other reason to be. How can cold wind
gather to form such a memory, and frost burn skin that was once kissed so sweet. So blow down the oldest of trees in the meadow.
I just a shadow of who I used to be. (Dance your little dance), you are the January dancer.

A Soft Landing

You told me once when days
were grey that someday you would leave. And go to fields where no one plays and dance among the green. In lavender and
springtime, forever to remain, but in the meantime, our lives will never be the same. And I still hear you in the void, whispering
goodbye, it echoes through the night in the space you left behind. I sometimes wonder where you are, and I wonder if you dream.
Do the trains still roll by every hour, do they make you think of me? In lavender and springtime, I’ll find you again, but in the
meantime, this heartache has to end. I still hear you in the void, whispering goodbye, it echoes through the night in the space you left behind
